There are some camping sites, including tent camping, at the facility.

In Bogalusa, Cassidy Park offers a walking trail, a splash pad area, and playground. A few blocks away, Goodyear Park also has a walking track and playground. Recently, the City paved a connecting path between the two parks. Walkers have always used the shade of Cassidy Park and Goodyear to get their steps in, and now they can expand the route and take in both. NOTE: Cassidy Park is not fully open since the last flooding incident. The splash pad remains closed at the moment, and the back part of the park as that sustained the most damage. The front area is open, the café and playground area. Next door to Goodyear is the Bogalusa YMCA, which offers public swim times for adults and children. The pool is scheduled to close at the end of July, but they are assessing interest and funding to keep it open through August. Finally, there is Pools Bluff south of Bogalusa. Here you find one of the boat launch areas, a walking trail with picnic area and gazebo, along with a Veteran’s Memorial. In Franklinton, the Washington Parish Fairgrounds have been employed as a walking track by many throughout the year with its park-like atmosphere.
